About Jill Healing

I did not have a formal art training., but I did have a very good art teacher at school who gave me a lot of the basic grounding that I find so useful now. Although I have painted all my life in many mediums, I have specialized in watercolours for 15 years. I taught adult groups for ten years and have organized several successful art exhibitions, taken location groups and organized holidays.

Combining my love of math and art, I started doing 'artist's impressions' five years ago and have worked for most of the leading Estate Agents and developers in the UK and my work regularly appears in Country Life and can be seen weekly in many of the Cotswold local newspapers.

As a complete change from the precise architectural work, I love doing action horse paintings particularly to emphasize the muscles and speed.

My paintings have appeared as a series of postcards and Christmas cards.

I have lived in the Cotswolds on and off for many years and feel very lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world with such a lot of inspiration around me.

I cannot think of a better place as an occasional week-end retreat for my daughter or for walks with my faithful Labrador (when I am not hard at work doing commissioned paintings or impressions for builders and architects).
